National Bank of Kenya Limited Public Announcement – Poll Results of Election of Directors

In accordance with the provisions of the Capital Markets Act and its Regulations, the Board of Directors of National Bank of Kenya Limited wishes to announce and inform the public the results of the Poll on Election of Directors at the Company’s 48th Annual General Meeting held at the Tsavo Ballroom of the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Nairobi on Friday, 19th May 2017.

The Poll was conducted by the Company’s Share Registrar (Image Registrars) and scrutinized by the Company’s External Auditors (M/s. Deloitte & Touche).

Results of the election:

The results of the election to fill two (2) directorship positions are as tabulated below:

Based on the results, the following candidates were elected as Directors to fill the two (2) vacant positions on the Board of Directors:

1. The Cabinet Secretary to The National Treasury
2. Mr. Mark Joseph Obuya

The election of the two (2) as Directors of the Company will however be subject to regulatory clearance by the Central Bank of Kenya.
